When we purchased this house two years ago we loved the main floor. Spanish plaster walls, hard wood floors and built-ins with original stain glass windows made the home a real treasure. However, upon entering the stairwell to go to the second floor you went from 1929 beauty to 1983 tacky. It was always our intention to completely gut the upstairs but when we realized that we were going to have to sell the house without renovating we had to come up with something to make the house feel like a bungalow upstairs as well as down.
