My neighbor M and her husband have finally decided that the darling bungalow next door is just too small for their family of 5 kids...so they have put their home on the market and have made an offer on a house about 8 blocks from here.

No we aren't selling our home...but my friend S is selling her's just down the street from us. As much as I hate to see her and her family heading off to the wilds of Colorado (okay, so Colorado Springs isn't really "wild"), they have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time so we are wishing them lots of good luck.

I figure the least I can do it add an entry about their home on my blog in hopes that someone feeding their house addiction likes what they see and might make S an offer.

So I had hoped to get a more photos of houses in Boise, but since our time was short these are really the only ones I managed to get. We will be returning later this month and I will be able to hit the historical districts and take a few others but for the time being here are the goods.

This week I got an awful lot of nothing accomplished. Since it was my birthday and Harry Potter was released last weekend I just decided to take it easy. So the time I would normally spend working on the house, I spent reading. L bought me a gift certificate to Home Depot so tomorrow I'll be back to work.

Last summer when L and I were looking for a house I knew that if given any real choice in the matter I wanted a bungalow. But we were moving from a new construction home in Texas where everything is BIGGER and we were acustomed to being able to spread out. I knew that in order for us to be able to afford the things we really wanted (4 bedrooms, 2 baths & 2 car garage) a bungalow might be out of the question. Bungalows tend to be smaller around here...most with only 2 or 3 bedrooms but they make such good use of space that we might not notice if we had to sacrifice a bedroom to get the other things we wanted.
